Child Safety Policy
Effective Date: January 6, 2025
At Sammen, the safety and protection of all users, especially children, is our highest priority. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) content or behavior on our platform.
Our Commitment
Sammen is committed to:
- Preventing the use of our service for any form of child exploitation
- Detecting and removing any CSAE content immediately
- Reporting illegal content to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and law enforcement
- Cooperating fully with law enforcement investigations
- Maintaining a safe environment for all users
What is Prohibited
The following content and behaviors are strictly prohibited on Sammen:
Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM)
- Any visual depiction of sexually explicit conduct involving a minor
- Any visual depiction of a minor engaging in sexually explicit conduct
- Any content that sexually exploits or presents children in a sexual manner
- Animated, drawn, or computer-generated images depicting minors in a sexually explicit manner
Grooming and Solicitation
- Attempting to establish contact with minors for sexual purposes
- Requesting or sharing contact information with minors for inappropriate purposes
- Sending sexually explicit material to minors
- Requesting sexually explicit material from minors
- Any attempt to exploit, coerce, or manipulate minors
Sexualization of Minors
- Content that sexualizes minors in any way
- Comments or messages of a sexual nature directed at or about minors
- Sharing or requesting inappropriate images of minors
How We Protect Children
Age Requirements
Users must be at least 13 years old to use Sammen. We actively enforce this requirement and will terminate accounts of users under 13.
Detection and Prevention
- Automated scanning of uploaded images using industry-standard detection technology
- Keyword filtering and behavioral pattern detection
- Regular safety audits and updates to our detection systems
- Proactive monitoring of public event content
User Reporting
We provide multiple ways for users to report concerning content or behavior:
- In-App Reporting: Both events and individual users can be reported directly through "Report" buttons for immediate flagging
- Direct Contact: Users can email our safety team directly (see contact information below)
- Anonymous Reporting: We accept anonymous reports through our web form
How to Report CSAE Content
If you encounter any content or behavior that violates this policy:
- Do not engage with the content or user
- Use the in-app "Report" button immediately
- Select "Child Safety Concern" as the reason
- Provide any additional details that may help our investigation
- Our safety team will review within 24 hours
Our Response to Violations
Immediate Actions
- Content is immediately removed upon detection or valid report
- User account is permanently suspended
- All user data is preserved for law enforcement
- IP address and device information is blocked
Legal Reporting
- We report all CSAM to NCMEC's CyberTipline as required by law
- We cooperate fully with law enforcement investigations
- We preserve evidence as required by applicable laws
- We may proactively share information with law enforcement when children are at risk

We believe in empowering our users with knowledge and resources:
- Safety tips are provided during onboarding
- Regular reminders about reporting mechanisms
- Links to trusted child safety organizations
- Clear community guidelines visible to all users

Sammen is required by law to report instances of child sexual abuse material to NCMEC and law enforcement. We take this responsibility seriously and will report all suspected CSAE content without exception.
Policy Updates
We regularly review and update this policy to ensure it remains effective. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of Sammen after policy updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
